This story takes place in Greece, the land of the hand. Though it is in Greece there is no specific setting. There are rocky mountains and roiling hills. The terrain was rocky and not suitable for farming. Because of this many early Greeks turned to another living, such as sailing and fishing. This was easy because Greece is a peninsula surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. The climate of Greece is very mild much like that of Virginia in the United States.
